Iceland is a land of fire and ice. This island in the Atlantic is home to the biggest glacier in Europe as well as numerous powerful volcanoes. The landscape, in particular on the South-East coast, is dominated by these two features: Black lava sand and white ice. This is a landscape of great contrasts and violent change, but also of great beauty.
